Collection Currencies
The 9 Counterparty currencies that define their respective collection ecosystems — what they are, how we price them, and how to read the chart.
What's a collection currency?
A collection currency is an asset that serves as the "native money" for a Counterparty collection. The most famous is PEPECASH, originally minted for Rare Pepes — you bought Rare Pepe cards with PEPECASH long before NFT marketplaces existed. Spells of Genesis cards trade for BITCRYSTALS. Bitcorn Crops for BITCORN. And so on.
CounterTools tracks all 9 official collection currencies and exposes a price chart for each. These are real markets — they trade against XCP, against each other, against BTC via dispensers, and increasingly against PEPECASH as PEPECASH has become the de-facto cross-collection quote.

Per-currency notes:
- PEPECASH — The original Counterparty meme currency and the de-facto quote currency for Rare Pepes.
- BITCRYSTALS — Used to buy and trade SoG cards. The only currency that primarily trades against its own collection's cards rather than XCP.
- BITCORN — Indivisible. Trades against XCP and PEPECASH; recent activity heavily PEPECASH-paired.
- BOBOCASH — Indivisible. Bobo the bear ecosystem.
- DANKMEMECASH — Currency for the Dank Rares ecosystem.
- MAFIACASH — Low liquidity. Many trades against PEPECASH historically.
- WILLCOIN — Very low liquidity; last meaningful XCP trade in 2018.
- RUSTBITS — Game-related currency; sparse recent activity.
- COCOCASH — Coco the crocodile ecosystem. Lowest activity of the 9.
Reading the chart
Each collection page with a designated currency carries a price chart. Two series:
- Solid green line — DEX (incl. multi-hop). Per-block trade rates from direct XCP trades and one-hop derivations. This is the trader-credible "market price".
- Dashed orange line — Dispenser. Posted BTC-dispenser rates, MAD-filtered. Tracks where active sellers are listing.
The header above the chart shows the current price, the source it came from (DEX direct, DEX via PEPECASH, Dispenser, etc.), and the confidence tier. A staleness indicator appears if the most recent rate is older than 7 days.
Why the lines might disagree
When a price may be stale
Three of the nine currencies (WILLCOIN, RUSTBITS, COCOCASH) have very little recent activity in any venue. We continue to display their last known price with a stale indicator. We don'tfabricate values — if the most recent meaningful trade was years ago, that's what we report.
For currencies that have plenty of activity but rarely directly against XCP (BITCORN, BITCRYSTALS), we use multi-hop derivation to surface fresh prices. See Pricing Methodology for the mechanics.
