Exactly 7 of the 1,774 official Rare Pepes were issued as a true single edition — one card, ever, minted at a supply of 1 and never reduced. These are the collection's born Singulars.

The seven
The earliest 1/1 and the only one from Series 1 — literally named for its supply.
The famous one — sold for a widely-reported ~$39,000 (350,000 PEPECASH) at the Rare Digital Art Festival in New York, January 2018.

The pre-minimum fault line
These seven aren't rule-breakers — they predate the rule. The Rare Pepe Directory later required a minimum issuance of 100 (max 100,000), non-divisible and locked. But that floor wasn't there at the start. On-chain, exactly 62 cards were issued below 100 — and every single one lands in Series 1–4, all minted between 9 September and 6 October 2016.
The fault line is sharp. The last card ever admitted with a sub-100 supply was PEPEALASSAD (Series 3, issued 3) on 6 October 2016. From Series 5 onward not one card dips below 100, and every one of the 1,622 cards minted after that date has an issuance of at least 100. The minimum — introduced by the curator “Mike” right after Series 3 — held without a single exception for the rest of the collection.

How we defined “born 1/1”
A card qualifies only if every condition holds on-chain: total issued = 1, non-divisible, locked, and zero destructions or burns (so its current supply is also 1). That last clause is what separates these from cards burned down to 1.
